First Segment Of First Trip and DeBary, FL. To Callahan, FL.

Callahan, FL.

54 deg. Mostly clear, no wind.

Forecast = Today: Partly cloudy. Highs around 82°F. Southeast wind 3 to 9 MPH, gusting to 14 MPH.
Tonight: Partly cloudy with areas of fog. Lows around 59°F. East southeast wind 3 to 9 MPH, gusting to 13 MPH.

It was almost exactly 9:45 when we pulled out of Highbanks yesterday morning. It was no surprise to me when we turned left on US 17/92 instead of right because I knew that we weren't going to be taking the Interstate roads up here to Callahan. We only went a short way when Jim pulled Bobbie T into a gas station to fill her up with 87 octane gas.

From the station, we continued North on US 17 to Deland where we took Rt 15A around the city. Then, it was 17 again all the way up to I-295, which goes around Jacksonville. Once on the North side of Jacksonville, we turned North on US 1 and brought it up here to just North of Callahan and to Kelly's Countryside RV Park.

It was 1:25 when we pulled into the CG, so in about 3 hours and 40 minutes, we had stopped for gas and  traveled 171 miles.

On this, our 1st segment of our 1st trip with Bobbie T, there were absolutely no problems. No cabinet doors came open, there was nothing falling or shifting out of place, and Bobbie T preformed very well.

We'll be staying here at Kelly's for one more night. We like this park and have been coming here for years. The owners, (especially Mr. Kelly), are very friendly and keep this park in very nice condition. Tomorrow, we'll head up into South Carolina. Again, I don't expect to be taking many Interstate Roads but rather will be taking U.S. and State routes most of the way.

Did you know that on average, there are 8 peas in each pod?

Woof!!!
