No News Is Good News, Right?

DeBary, FL.

70 deg. clear, no wind.
Forecast = Partly cloudy with a chance of a thunderstorm. High of 95F with a heat index of 100F. Winds less than 5 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

No news is good news, right????

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know too much about the human medical system, but it seems to me that there's definitely a problem with it when you have to wait forever to get test results back for something that's as important as tumor that is possibly cancer!!!!

Linda was told that they would call with the results of the biopsy either Tuesday or Wednesday, but of course they didn't. So, yesterday morning she called the doctor's office to find out what was going on.

Well,  ,  ,  ,  ,  , it seems that the results were "inconclusive", so they're sending them to a different place to run more tests on them and the doctor is telling Linda that it will take between 7 and 10 days to get the results back.

I guess that means that Linda will be having good news for the next 7 to 10 days, right?????

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-(

Linda called Laura and after hearing what is going on, she called around to see if she could find anything  out. Now, the original doctor, (the one that Laura found for Linda originally), wants the notes and any other information from this doctor sent over to his office, but this doctor's office is saying that they can't transfer the files without written permission from Linda.

So, this morning, Linda is going to make a few more calls, and if she can get things accomplished by phone. If not, Laura is going to take her over to Daytona Beach to try to get things moving in the right direction.

Linda really likes this doctor, and she doesn't believe that the delay is his fault in any way. It's just that waiting for the results is very hard, and it's hard to imagine why this has to take so long.

Nothing else to report today. Both Linda and Jim have been trying to keep busy to keep their minds off of this health issue. The weather has been in the 90's every day with no real relief in the next 7 days or so. (Typical Florida summer).

Oh, there's been a bear sighted in the community. :-O  It's estimated that it weighs around 350 lbs., it's gotten into a few garbage cans and it has left some "deposits" in a back yards.

Did you know that today is "Blame someone else day"?

Woof!!!
