Last Tuesday, both Jim and Linda had appointments with Dr. Saferali , their Chemo Dr, and both of them had good reports. In fact the Dr. was very pleased with Jim's Pet Scan results and both Jim and Linda's blood tests. :-) She wants to see Jim again in February and then, both Jim and Linda again in April.
Not much else has been happening around here since I last posted. Jim and Linda have gone shopping for Christmas presents and groceries and, they've also gone to Lowe's and purchased some new flooring for the kitchen and dinning area of the house. The flooring that we have now is real cheap peel and stick vinyl tile and it's starting to break up in places. Now, as soon as Kevin, (the handyman that Jim and Linda use), has some time, he'll install it.
For Thanksgiving, Jim and Linda are invited to Marv and Inez's for dinner again. Laura and Lindsey will be there as well as most of Lindsey's brothers. It should be a full house again. :-)
The weather has been great here in Florida with highs in the upper 70's and lows in the 50's and 60's. A cold front came though last night though and today the temps are only going to get up to the mid-sixty's and down into the upper 30s tonight. But, then it's supposed to warm up again with high temperatures in the upper 70's forecasted for Thanksgiving day.
Don't know if I'll be posting again before Thanksgiving, so Jim, Linda and I want to wish all of you a very happy and safe holiday.
Did you know that the first Thanksgiving celebration lasted three days?

A Good Doctor's Report and A Plan

Forecast = A mix of clouds and sun. High 81F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph.
Linda's doctor appointment with Dr. Saferali was at 8:00 yesterday morning, so Linda had to get up very early in order to get ready to go. :-( But, by a little before 8:00, Big RED had taken Linda and Jim over to the Chemo place and soon after, Linda was getting her blood test and was meeting with the doctor.
The new tests showed that her white and red counts had now returned to close to normal and the other tests done to the blood were now with-in specs. :-) Also, the rash that Linda had is just about gone and the itching has almost stopped. The doctor was pleased with the results and told Linda that now she didn't have to worry so much about catching something if she went out in public.
So, when Linda and Jim left the doctor's office, Big RED took them over to the 4 B's Restaurant for Breakfast!!! ;-)
Not a whole lot happened the rest of the day. Linda was tired, (remember, she had to get up "before the crack of dawn), so she slept in her recliner for some of the afternoon. Laura stopped by for awhile to visit and find out how Linda's doctor's appointment went and Jim and Linda started making plans to go over to the new trailer at Highbanks for awhile again. In fact, we're probably going to head over to Highbanks either today, or tomorrow, depending on when they can get things together to take over there.
And that, brings up another problem.
Jim and Linda are finding that to go over to the trailer to spend a few days, they're having to take quite a bit of "stuff" back and forth. This makes it difficult to just go over there for a few days. They've started making a list of what they need to take with them and what to bring back here when they return, but there's always something that gets forgotten. It's also a pain to lug all that "stuff" back and forth and put it all away, especially if Linda doesn't happen to be feeling too well, or is fighting a lot of fatigue.
They don't really want to buy doubles of everything, but they'll probably be purchasing some things to make the back and forth moves a little easier.
So, if everything goes well, my next post should be from the trailer. I like it over there and it gives Linda and Jim a chance to get away for awhile. ;-)

A Few Photos and A Leveler Report

Jim took a few photos of our site yesterday morning. In these photos, you'll see that Bobbie T is in the sun, but you have to remember that when these photos were taken, it was about 8:00 AM, she's facing East and those big trees on the awning side of her give shade for the hottest part of the day as they're on the South.

Like I said yesterday, I think we'll like this site. (I know I do already). We had shade almost all afternoon, and Bobbie T's air conditioner didn't have to struggle at all, even though the temperatures got up into the middle 80's and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
Not a whole lot happened around here yesterday. Jim went down to the other end of the park, where we were parked before, and talked to Ron for awhile. Then in the afternoon, he watched some of the NASCAR Nationwide race on TV before going outside and removing the tow bar from the front of CLT and stowing it under Bobbie T.
Then, he talked to an RVer named Bob for a while. He and his wife, Linda, are just here for the weekend and will be leaving here today.
For dinner, Linda made BLT sandwiches and cooked some of that great sweet corn that Jim and Linda bought from Mark's Produce up near Baraboo. Then they watched British Comedies on PBS until bedtime.
Since we're back in Rantoul now and it's been a month since they were installed, I thought I'd give you a report on the Big Foot Levelers that Jim and Linda had installed on Bobbie T.
So far, they have worked flawlessly. They're easy to use, even though Jim and Linda bought the manual system, the large pads have been great on soft surfaces, (no need for boards under the jacks), and they have been able to level Bobbie T even when we were in sites that were quite slanted.
And, they're so much easier to use than trying to level by driving up on boards, plus, we don't have to carry all those boards around anymore. ;-)
Don't know of anything exciting happening today, but if anything happens, I'll be sure to let you know tomorrow. ;-)
