It does make it a lot easier ...My Dad has the port. It does make it a lot easier for him. They also give him an IV of saline to keep his veins hydrated before the chemo starts. Sometimes they put a heating pad on his arm where the IV goes in to help with the 'stinging' sensation that the chemo seems to give.
