My first reading was shortly after Linda's diagnosis as I was going thru the same thing myself and her experiences pretty much mirrored mine. My husband and I full-timed for 5 years in a 5th wheel and now travel in the winter. I wanted to ask about the rv park you referred to in the spring which is near Sanford. As I recall you found it an acceptable place. Is this the place on Doyle Road headed towards Osteen? I can't find the name of the place on the internet but I wanted to check it out as a possibility for some time this winter. When we stay in the Sanford area we frequently stay at the county park, Lake Monroe, but we are thinking of a longer stay. We have checked out most of the commercial parks and none of them appeal to us. We have very minimal needs, water and power. We don't care about activities and don't need a pool. Can you give me some info about the park?<br />Also, as you travel back and forth from Wisconsin I want to tell you about two Kane County forest preserve campgrounds in the western suburbs of Chicago. One is very near Elgin, IL, just off Randall Rd, a little west of US 31. It is called Paul Wolff campground and is $25 per night with water and elec, dump station on site. It is busy on the weekends, but great during the week. The other is 30 miles south west of Elgin in Sugar Grove, IL. It is just west of IL 47 and is called Big Rock campground and is quite new. It also has elec and water and a dump station and is also $25. Since it is new it doesn't have many trees yet, but both of these campgrounds are gems run by the forest preserve. We were up there two weeks ago and came home via IL 47 all the way past Fishers to Mahomet to get on I-74 as we now live near Indy. I though you might want to know about these campgrounds. Thank you, Dione (I don't have a google account and am reluctant to put my email address on a public blog, so perhaps you could reply via this comment section?)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
